There are two main reasons for the noise of screw air compressors. One is that the high motor speed causes vibration of the body, making the noise loud and wasting energy;

Second, when the screw air compressor is working, the intake valve and the exhaust valve switch cooperate with each other. This working method makes the exhaust pulsating, which will produce excitation noise. The greater the noise caused by the severe pulsation of the air flow, the greater the impact on the compressed air pipeline. and ancillary equipment will have adverse effects.

The noise is getting louder and louder. The current solution is as follows:

1. For air flow pulsation, you can consider adding buffer devices—orifice plates, venturi tubes, buffer tanks, etc.

2. Mechanical vibration. Add a pipe to the appropriate position of the pipe and the pipe is stuck.

3. Normal oil supply. Poor internal lubrication of the air compressor results in dry friction. Check whether the oil supply is normal. If not, take remedial measures in time.

4. Timely maintenance: Damage to the internal parts of the air compressor causes some parts to collide with each other and timely maintenance, etc.

5. Overall sound insulation. When small and medium-sized air compressors are arranged individually or separately in the workplace, removable structural sound insulation covers are generally installed. For large air compressor units, in order to control noise, an independent soundproof room can be set up. The room enclosure, doors, and windows are all made of soundproof structural materials, and the operators monitor it in another control room.

6. Buy a variable frequency air compressor. Noisy air compressors consume more electricity. Buy a permanent magnet variable frequency air compressor to reduce the noise and still save money on electricity bills.
